South Carolina College of Pharmacy student Rebecca Bickley, a 2009 PharmD candidate, has been appointed to the AmericanCollege of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) 2008-2009 National StuNet Advisory Committee.
Last year’s slate of 10 members came from some of the top pharmacy schools in the country, including the University of North Carolina, the University of Texas, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Maryland and the University of Colorado.
Bickley’s charges will begin at the ACCP annual meeting held this year in October in Louisville, KY.
“Rebecca's hard work and dedication to the profession of pharmacy make her an ideal member of this committee,” said Brandon Bookstaver, clinical assistant professor in the Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences Department.
The National StuNet Advisory Committee works with the association and its network of pharmacists so that student members can develop leadership skills, expand opportunities for student pharmacists within ACCP, and introduce other students to the many facets of clinical pharmacy. The National StuNet Advisory Committee is a standing committee composed of members appointed each year by the ACCP president. Members will generally serve a one-year term and the committee will typically be composed of 8-12 members. The leadership of the committee is also appointed by the ACCP president.
